Serving at Atonement

God designed you with unique gifts and talents, and we want to help use those to gifts to help elevate your volunteer experience. We have a variety of different roles and jobs that we would not be to do without the help of volunteers on Sunday mornings and throughout the week.

creative team

Creative team is the group behind the special pieces of the worship services.

This team is made up of video & skit actors, worship and special event space designers & decorators, and the worship & event photographers & videographers.

tech team

Tech team is the team behind the scenes that helps keep our worship services and events running.

This team is made up of in-service propresenter operators, worship videographers & editors, and worship space set up and tear down team.

music team

The music team is in charge of all musical aspects that go into our worship services.

This team includes the choir, bell choir, modern worship band, traditions worship leaders and muscians, and holiday/special music musicians.

admin team

The admin team is the group that helps with running different office operations during the week.

This team is made up of offering counters, Helping Hands team, and the financial review team.

hospitality team

The hospitality team is the team in charge of turning the worship spaces into a worship homes.

This team is made up of the coffee set up & servers, special event cooks & servers, funeral servers, and communion set up team & servers.

welcome team

Welcome team is one of the first faces you see when you enter the building for worship or an event.

This team is made up of the greeters, ushers, parking lot team, online chat hosts, and guest services volunteers.

Serving Locally

Engaging in service leads to life changes and world changes. God has called us to serve one another, and we believe that living our mission to love God and love people starts in our zip code.

bio girls

BIO Girls is on a mission to improve the self-esteem in adolescent girls through empowerment of self and service to others. Atonement offers two different programs through BIO Girls; Running and Self-Defense.

fmsc fargopack

FMSC FargoPack is one of the key serving opportunities at Atonement. Through our partnership with Feed My Starving Children, we are able to support the packing of life-changing meals for children and families around the world.

next step nd

Next Step ND is fighting human trafficking in the Fargo-Moorhead community and throughout the state of North Dakota. The primary focus has been on prevention through education and awareness, while also providing and finacially supporting survivor restoration.

churches united

Through our student ministry teams, we assist Churches United and their residents in various ways, at their different shelters and food banks.

first link

Atonement supports First Link by helping create and curate resources for our community. First Link assists people to identify, access, and effectively use community and volunteer resources 24 hours a day. It’s the first link to connect people to resources.

food bank

Atonement supports a network of food banks throughout our community including; the Great Plains Food Bank, the Emergency Food Pantry, Youthworks ND, the YWCA, and the New Life Center.

We also support these organizations through our Day of Bread soup feed and bazaar. All proceeds from our soup feed go to support our local food banks.

cribs for christ

Cribs for Christ reaches out into the community to help families unable to purchase a crib for their newborn. We work closely with the nurses at the Fargo Cass Public Health who refer these names to us-there is quite a demand in our community for this assistance.

Through our quilting teams, we are able to support Lutheran World Relief and Quilts of Valor. Lutheran World Relief provides more than just a quilt to a family in need. Serving Globally

Our mission to share the love of God and the love of people goes beyond our building and our community. We have a history of going global with our missions and to all edges of the world.

Through our kids programs, we are able to send Operation Christmas Child boxes across the global so children everywhere get the blessing of the Word of God and a shoebox Christmas gift.

Feed My Starving Children believes hope starts with food. As a Christian nonprofit, FMSC is dedicated to seeing every child whole in body and spirit. FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development.

World Mission Prayer League is a Lutheran community committed to know Christ, praying for the advance of his kingdom, sharing the gospel and ourselves with those who do not know him; and encouraging Christians everywhere in this global task.
