Churches United for the Homeless

Churches United is a recipient of food donated through the areas “Fill The Dome” project. This is a fun filled family experience where volunteers are busy stacking, sorting and organizing the shelves with a great quantity of non-perishable food items. There are bins located throughout the church where donations of non-perishable foods can be dropped off.

A.C.T.S. – The Atonement Crisis Team in Service

This small group has worked on mission trips around the US to date: Hurricane Katrina relief, Colgate, ND, Northwood, ND and Wadena, MN. Most importantly, we share the love of Jesus Christ with victims of disasters through our actions and prayers. Participants with the love of Jesus and a willing heart to do His good deeds are always welcome. You don’t need any experience, just a helping heart.

Emergency Food Pantry

There are three bins located throughout the church that you are welcome to drop off donations of non-perishable food items in at any time. The items get delivered regularly to the Fargo Food Pantry. A special push for donations is done each year in November, which is national hunger awareness month.

Cribs for Christ

This ministry reaches out beyond our church into the community to help families who are unable to purchase a crib for their newborn. A quilt made by our weekly Quilting group, the Piecemakers, bedding and a children’s Bible completes the gift package given to these families. We work closely with the nurses at the Fargo Cass Public Health who refer these names to us-there is quite a demand in our community for this assistance. Volunteers are needed to purchase cribs and also to deliver cribs to families. Each crib placement is approximately $200.

There are 5 ways to get involved with Cribs for Christ:

  1. New Opportunity: We are looking for a group of volunteers, from various ages, who are interested in offering continued support and guidance for some of the mothers/couples. This group would be called upon to provide a second visit, greet mothers as they visit Atonement, call to check in, send a card of encouragement, etc.
  2. Drop off infant clothes to the church office.
  3. Volunteer to be on the prayer team.
  4. Volunteer to be on the delivery team.
  5. Donate financially toward the purchase of cribs, mattresses, sheets and Bibles.
