The Event: January 23, 2010

Far Above Rubies is a one day conference for teen girls and their moms or female adult mentors. We believe that all women - young and old - need this message of love. In a culture that distorts identity, Far Above Rubies: Who Are You  brings a powerful message that a woman's identity is secure in Christ! You are created in God's image, knit together by His hand, and called by God to live full and abundant lives for His glory!

About Far Above Rubies

Mission: To bring teen girls the message of hope that their true identity lies in being a daughter of God, freed by Jesus, and to equip them to live in sexual purity and integrity, build healthy relationships, and pursue the dreams to which God has called them.

Far Above Rubies was created as a partnership of the Youth Ministry and Health Ministry Departments of Atonement Lutheran Church in 2002. Recognizing the need for teen girls to learn about the importance of health, body image and abstinence, the first Far Above Rubies was well attended and received a great response. Since the first conference, Far Above Rubies has expanded focus and identified other challenges girls face. Keynote and breakout topics focus on issues including:

• Wise Friendships
• Sexual Integrity and Purity
• Body Image
• Modesty
• The Goodness of Marriage 
• Pursuing Dreams
• Healthy Choices & Avoidance of High Risk Behavior
• Abstinence Until Marriage
• Pornography / Sexual Identity
